“Biiicycle, biiiiicyle, I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike…”

Imagine growing up as a Haredi girl. Your brothers are taught to ride a bike but you are told that it is immodest for girls to ride. Fast forward twenty years and one long disaffiliation process. You are now 25 years old, not Haredi, and you still do not know how to ride a bicycle. Enter Out for Change with the ultimate workshop for narrowing cultural gaps: bike lessons for former Haredi young women! We identified this need through the input of our constituents, launching our first bicycle riding workshop in June. 30 women signed up immediately. Happy riding!
